Take a moment and think back to the day you got married. You wanted everything to be perfect and wanted the day to be one to remember. Well I must say the wedding part was the time of my life and a day I will never forget.
At the time we could not make a trip out of town for our honeymoon so I decided to find a hotel that we could stay at for the night. I looked around and found what I thought was a nice hotel and well established. I called the Hyatt and booked a room and told them that this was our wedding night and wanted a romantic evening and some champagne in the room.
Why did they sound confused and said what do you mean you want champagne in the room. Again I stated it again and they finally figured it out and was like well we can not do that here because we have to verify your age. I was thrown off a little because I have done this before at another hotel (Not a Hyatt).
I was okay no problem I will just plan it when I get there and when we go out to dinner they can place it in the room upon our return. Well I get there and tell them what I want and they still sound confused had no clue what I was trying to do. I told them okay we are planning on going out to eat and here is my license I would like to have champagne in my room when we return. They said okay no problem.
Tell me why upon our return from dinner and the rest of our stay we never saw the champagne. This was a huge disappointment. So on checkout I asked the staff what happened and why was the room not set up like I asked and you all had agreed to. The response was we do not do that kind of stuff here.
There was no apology for being told one thing and then something else happening. I was truly disgusted with the hotel at this point. I do know one thing for sure I will never stay at a Hyatt again and will not suggest the hotel to any of my friends and family.
This did happen about 2 years ago but it was the first impression that lasted and it was not a good first impression. I will just take my money and use it in a hotel that knows how to treat their guest.
Have you ever stayed at a Hyatt and if so how was your experience? I would love to hear your stories.
No we have never stayed in a Hyatt. After hearing your experiences, I’m not sure we would want to. I used to work in the hotel industry so I’m pretty picky when it comes to hotels.

I must agree. I mean it was something so simple but maybe not. This was two strikes with Hyatt first I thought it was just the one here but after the experience Natalie in Denver I am starting to think it is a chain thing.
